The idea

What if you stopped
to ask why?

Why do you reach for your phone when you're bored? Say yes when you want to say no? Repeat a habit even when you've promised yourself something different?

KNOWvember began as a personal November experiment in saying NO to familiar habits and distractions. What mattered most wasn't giving things up. It was discovering the reasons behind them.

Now, we're bringing that curiosity to a small guided community.

You don't have to fix everything about yourself. Start by becoming curious about what you do — and why.

Choose one safe, modest personal experiment. Notice what comes up. Make room between the pattern and the next choice.

There is no universal abstinence list, perfect streak to protect, or expectation to share your most personal reflections. You decide what to explore and what to keep private.

The journey

Four weeks.
One deeper conversation.

Week 01

Notice

See the roles, routines, habits, and patterns shaping your days.

Week 02

Interrupt

Create a little space between an urge and your response. Experiment without judgment.

Week 03

Understand

Explore what your patterns might be doing for you and the needs behind them.

Week 04

Choose

Practice decisions that reflect your values. Carry what you learn into December.

What's included

A little space,
every day.

30 daily prompts

Short guided reflections and manageable experiments, usually 10–15 minutes. A practice you can return to, even when you miss a day.

Worksheets to keep

A starting reflection, weekly check-ins, and your December Compass to turn what you've noticed into a deliberate next step.

Before you begin

Curiosity is enough
to begin.

Do I have to give anything up?

No. Choose a safe, modest experiment that fits your life. There is no universal abstinence list or requirement to stop consuming anything.

Do I have to share?

No. Your journal and personal reflections stay private unless you choose to share. Peer discussion and live attendance are optional.

What if I miss a day?

Return when you can. There are no streaks, punishments, or perfection requirements.

When are the live gatherings?

November 1, 15, and 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST) / 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Attendance is optional; joining details will be shared with participants.

Will members see my phone number?

Members of an ordinary WhatsApp discussion group may see one another's phone numbers. Group expectations prohibit unwanted contact and resharing others' content, but confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.

Is this therapy?

KNOWvember is an educational self-reflection and peer-learning experience. It is not therapy, mental health care, or addiction treatment.

Can I request a scholarship?

Yes. Five complimentary places are reserved for people for whom the cost is a meaningful barrier. Contact Patrick; no financial documents are required.

What if I need to cancel?

Participate at your own pace. Your $49 enrollment includes the full KNOWvember experience, and all live gatherings are optional—join whichever fit your schedule. Enrollment is nonrefundable, including for missed gatherings or unused participation, except where required by law. Duplicate charges will be corrected, and if we cancel the program, you’ll receive a full refund.

Patrick Linfante in the Colorado mountains

I've been returning to some version of this experiment for nearly a decade. I don't lead it because I've figured everything out. I lead it because asking better questions has helped me understand the choices I make.

I'm inviting a small group to spend November exploring those questions together, with honest reflection, curiosity, and room to grow.
